As much as I love to travel and hang out with friends, at the end of the day I am an introverted extrovert. What that means, is I have fun being with other people, but I “recharge” by being by myself. I am definitely a homebody and think that there are some definite perks about being one – like pampering yourself on a Friday night with a face mask, bubble bath, glass of wine and a good book. If this sounds like you or someone you know, above are my picks for 2017 gifts. Let me highlight some of my tried-and-true favorites.
Striped Pajamas: If you’ve been following me for a while, it’s no secret that I probably belong in Stripes Anonymous. I am also a HUGE fan of matching pajamas, and these striped ones have shot up to the top of my list. They’re soft, stretchy, and obviously super cute.
Book, The Thousandth Floor: If you’re a fan of young adult novels, Gossip Girl, and the future, this book might be right up your alley. It’s actually a trilogy, and this is the first in the series. The premise is it takes place in 2118 in New York City and most people live in a 1,000 story tower that takes up most of Manhattan. It follows around 5 characters, and how their lives intersect. I personally loved it and am waiting for the 2nd book in the series to come in from the library so I can read it.
Casper Pillow: My boyfriend straight up says that he hasn’t ever slept as well as when we got our Casper Pillows. We’ve had them for a few months, and I have to agree – they’re the best pillows we own. They’re definitely pricey but I think worth the money. They’re not extremely soft, but not thick like a tempurpedic pillow either – somewhere in the middle where they’re light and fluffy, but still remember how you want them to be if that makes sense. Definitely recommend trying these out if you’re in the market for a new pillow.
Fuzzy Blanket: I don’t care if it’s 30 degrees or 90 degrees out, I always have a fuzzy blanket on the couch. It makes watching movies or working that much more snuggly and comfy. These are also great to throw on a guest bed incase it gets cold at night. They’re beyond soft and still very lightweight.
Voluspa Candles: I remember discovering Voluspa candles at the salon I worked at when I was 16. Their scents are amazing, the candles last for what seem like forever even if I’m constantly burning them, and they scent up your entire house. The packaging is beautiful as well, and these make a great gift. This is a trial set, so you can also break them up into smaller gifts for a few different friends, or stocking stuffers.
